The system can process highly viscous samples with viscosities ranging up to 120,000 mm2/s, up to 150°C. It fully complies with ASTM D445, D446, D2170 and AASHTO T201 to test your highly viscous sample.
There are 2 different models available: 110 and 120. BitUVisc 110 features a single thermostatic bath with 1 viscometer tube whereas BitUVisc 120 model holds 2 viscometer tubes in a single bath. All BitUVisc instruments are equipped with auto-sampling, preheating, fully automatic dual solvent cleaning, and drying.
The system combines several unique features, making it the instrument of choice in many applications, ranging from QC to R&D to used oil analysis. While offering full compliance with ASTM D445/446, the specially designed viscometer tubes cover a 100-fold range, e.g., from 1 to 100 mm2/s. The tubes are based on the well-known and proven Ubbelohde design, but only require 8-16 ml of sample and approximately 12-15 ml of solvent for cleaning. Available with single or dual solvent cleaning, this tailor-made instrument measures kinematic viscosity in Newtonian fluids like lubricants, fuels, or dissolved plastics between 0.15 and 25,000 mm2/s at 40°C.
The latest generation of the new S-flow is the Houillon viscometer which builds on the solid foundation of its predecessors, like the U-Visc, to offer the ultimate in automatic viscosity testing of Newtonian samples, such as petroleum products.
This Houillon viscometer complies fully with ASTM D7279. It is the ideal system for used oil analysis labs that need to test a wide range of lubricant viscosities. Tell us more about the required specifications to receive a tailor-made viscometer system.
Cito consists of a custom robotic arm that is mounted onto a base frame, which can reach and serve up to two S-flow IV instruments, one on either side. Around the base and on the flat top of Cito sufficient space is offered to store pipette racks and sample trays.
Cito automatically detects the level in each individual sample vial, thereby minimizing tip immersion depth. Additionally, a new drip-prevention mechanism places a retractable reservoir below the pipette to catch any droplet that may fall from the tip, eliminating any potential spillage or carry-over.
From a single sample aspiration, 2 sequential injections in 2 independent baths can be performed using only a single pipette tip. When injecting into tubes at 40 ºC and 100 ºC, the PC software automatically provides the Viscosity Index. Up to 80 injections per hour can be performed at 2 temperatures in this manner, provided that 2 S-flow IV systems are connected.
